Can I Bring an Attorney or Witness?

Yes, either party can bring an attorney or witnesses to participate in the mediation. Attorneys are often beneficial in that they can give their “review and approval” on any terms being considered, or on the final settlement agreement, so that the parties feel their best interests have been fully protected.

The witness is there to provide support and may be helpful to provide information, but because there is no “hearing” the witness does not have a period of formal testimony.
